Changing a new age up-pipe

Just a quick question, I have got an after market up-pipe fitted but want to change to an sti one for better spool up. Do I need to remove the headers to fit the up-pipe or will it come out without removing them?

Yes headers off to take it out the bottom or turbo off to pull it out the top

Headers would be easier, possibly. I want to do exactly the same at some point.
