Default Afterburner Vortex help please?

Hi, i recently bought a afterburner vortex for my bugeye wrx of ebay from a breakers, it arrived today and i was dissapointed to see that someone has took a hack saw to the tailpipe and shortened it slightly for some reason and they've done a sh*te job plus it has a small dent in the tailpipe, i could easily tidy this up but want to make sure that its not going to be too short and look crap, if any of you have the same exhaust could you do me a massive favour and measure the length of the tailpipe to the first weld so i can see how much has been butchered of mine before i decide whether to give the ebay seller some grief,
any help much appreciated,
Ian.

Also is there any way to see that it is genuine, stamp etc? It has a spiralled baffle inside im wondering if this is a sign of a genuine one?

I have the same box if I can at the weekend I'll try and get the tape out but if it's cold/wet/snowing/windy I'm staying in bed lol.

You could just sleeve the 2 together it should be pretty simple once you've fitted the box into its hangers that will give you the length needed to the centre which you would have to hack the flange off.

Thanks for the responses, out of interest whats the score when you have to send something back to an ebay seller if they offer a refund with regards to postage costs?

cheers harri, yeah it definitly has the spiral baffle, i know that hayward and scott make the vortex but they also make an identical backbox to the vortex but without the flame tip, its on there website so im thinking its that one, either way its still been cut, i just measured the tailpipe to the first weld and its 175mm long are you sure you measured 150mm?
