Default classic battery restraint

my usual heavy handiness managed to snap the brittle metal bars that support the battery tie strap......

Easy to get replacements? i looked and my battery tray is a bit battered and tired aswell

or is it best speak to my local metal shop and get something better made up?

Ta

Do you mean the threaded bars with nuts on top?

You can buy threaded rod, known as studding, at B&Q etc, cut to length, bend and away you go.

Alternatively, buy from a decent bolt and nut stockist, they are likely to have it in stainless.

M6 is what you want.

Pm ironbridge, he does some lovely rods and clamps for not much money.

I had the same problem with mine, they do take a couple of weeks to get to you however they are nice and easy to fit.
