If you dont know when it was last done then change all the oils. Do you know when the timing belt was done or it was serviced? I had a fuel gauge issue with mine and it was the sender. Sounds like the float is maybe stuck on yours. Does the gauge nit go up at all if you fill up

No i put 20 pound in and it didnt go up, the car has full service history and belt was done 2 years ago on 46k by main dealer and car on 70k now, I changed oil in my last astra turbo every 5k so going to keep at that.
Is the float easy to get too?

Gearbox and diffs are recommended 2 year services, I also take it you mean a prodrive style and not a prodrive as that is a Jap import car? (with a roof vent and rear wiper )
