Default Winter Vs Summer Running

Hi All,

Just wondered as i have only had my scooby for a few weeks, i have heard quite alot about how the colder weather makes the car run different.

Could anyone explain this to me please?

I defo have the belt scream for a couple of seconds when starting the first time in the day.

Thanks

Cold damp weather leads to more dense air = more power. More noticable on turbo charged engines.

Sounds like you need to get your belts checked or replaced. Should not make any noise if setup correctly.

I find the colder weather simply makes mine not run at all!!!

Getting seriously pissed now with having a flat battery every time the temp drops below 0c

I was told its due to the ''smartcharge'' system so I've followed advice and always drive with sidelights on so there is a load on the battery but its not making any difference.

(btw the battery is only 12 months old, so thats not the problem)

What make battery? Has it been tested properly? A 12 month old battery can certainly fail

Mine goes loads better in cold wether, Iv heard on the coldest days you can gain up to 10% power increase over the hottest days. I use Meth in the summer to give me that 10% back.
