Depends what gains you want mate and if your sti or not (assuming the hawkeye wrx has the up pipe cat same as the blobeye wrx). Any decat will effect your map though mate........ideally you'd go 3 inch straight through for the best performance but you can just remove the cats and stay 2 1/2 if you want to stay on the cheaper side

Haha fair enough ...... back box can do that mate.......cheap decats that do the job japspeed (with a minor bit of bending on the hanger) but in all cases of decatting you will need a map mate

If you are decating (whgich is what you asked in the thread title) it will change the map quite a bit as will change boost control as well as fueling and other parts of the map. It will need tweaking especially on the 2.5 engine

Nope, change the centre section & no need for re-map!
Will definitely release the burble

Sorry but I disagree, if it has been mapped for the exhaust system that is on there (which it has) then reducing the back pressure in the system by removing that very restrictive resonator will alter the way the car works and at least require a check of the map or more likely a small tweak to account for a more free flowing exhaust.

I thought the OP was on about a standard 2.5, hence just the centre section which is after the CAT shouldn't require a re-map.
