Which kind of induction kit?

Which kind of induction kit?
Me again... I've been looking at induction kits/pannel filter, which is the best out of each in your own personal opinion? Also, what kind of each gives you the best bang for your buck?

At your level of modifications (I take it minimal?) you are better off with a good panel filter like a K&N, Green, Cosworth etc, all an induction kit will do unless its mounted into the inner wing (and then you have the road dirt to deal with), is suck hot air back into the engine which will reduce your power.

That's a good call.
The major problem with MAF sensors and induction kits is the direct effect on the mapping rather than just the air temperature.
The mass air flow sensor gives out a varying output to the ECU relative to mass air flow. The figures can be changed dramatically when fitting different designs of air filter. That sounds obvious, but the difference in ECU output can be startling, and not in a good way.
We only start looking at fitting induction kits when required to, usually when fitting a front mount, and of course, only when carrying out full mapping, when the right corrections can be applied.

It's only an issue if they are over-oiled and the oil seeps through the filter and onto the MAF. I have an RCM kit (which was fitted after I went down the FMIC route) and that is lightly oiled to help trap the dirt, but not so heavily oiled that I can see any contaminant on the MAF.
