Remove inspection bung, turn engine until pin in line with hole remove circlip & pull pin out. If it's tight warm the top of the piston gently with a hot air gun.

Thanks Richard. What do you pull it out with? I can't get pliers on them as they don't grip on to the gudgeon pin?

When I did mine I bushed them from the other side using a long piece of aluminium rod.

When you say bushed, do you mean giving them a light tap with a hammer?

Cant see how you pushed them out mate

When you take out the inspection bung, line the piston up with the hole and remove the circlip and then get an old coat hanger (crude but gets the job done) double up a straight piece of the hanger and use a pliers to make a small "L" shape so that it can slide in through the inspection hole and in turn through the gudgeon pin.
Try and hook the back of the pin and then gently just pull it out .Simple

Set the pistons just off Bottom dead center and you can use a long thin rod approx. in 6mm diameter ( i use silver steel) and you can get the rod over or under the con-rod to tap the gudgeon pin out.

Usualy you will have a lit lip/edge on the piston bore/gudgeon pin hole which can make the pin tight in the piston, it is not an interfearence pin so with a bit of love/paswassion they do come out, heat gun wont hurt and will help.

However due to mileage/life/staight of health it can take more effort.

Remove all circlips through block bungs/plate no3 bore, if you cannot slide the pins out by hand which will be the case get yourself some thin gauge straight steel and position the crank so the rod is thrust angled (other words rod is banked over at angle) this will give you enough room to go through the back side of piston (1cylinder to 3cylinder. 2cylinder to 4cylinder/side with circlip still in) and gently tap the pin out.

Note: position you put crank in Be Carefull because to far and the pin will hit the liner/hole it guides through. Also if you are using the pistons/rods again which would seem so in this case you dont want to scratch the pin bore of piston and small end of rod.

All the best and any advice feel free to drop me an email.
