No full beam
I changed the dipped head lamp bulb today and noticed i dont have full beam. I checked all the fuses and they seem fine. I just get a clicking sound when i turn on full beam. Any ideas?

My bad i should of done both at the same time but was running out of time as wife was running late for work. Was going to do the other side today when it stopped raining. Are full beam and dipped done by the same bulb because i can't flash the lights either. I just get the clicking from the relay when i turn full beam on and flash the lights. It was the passenger side that i changed so had to disconnect the battery.

Is it the car in your sig that you have the problem with? With the Morette headlights? Just cause people do all sorts of crazy wiring with those things and the connections corrode really easily.

If the bulbs and relays are ok then it could be the wiring. It'll depend on how they have been wired in to begin with. Did you say that the dipped beam is not working now as well?
There is a few ways I've seen to wire them in. Some kill the dipped beam when the main beam is selected and some can run both together.
It could be a dead relay, or a corroded earth wire as those headlights use a switched earth IIRC.
It might be easier for you to take it to an auto spark TBH. From my experience those thinks can tie your head in knots.

I think that is a wise idea mate. Its alot easier to check things when its in front of you. We could go over things for you to check and replace but it'll all depend on how they have been wired in in the first place.
My main beam didn't work on my car when I got it, took me a weekend to get my head around the wiring. Eventually I ended up running them through relays and they seem to be fine now. Morette headlights = headache lol
If you get really stuck gives a shout again and ill try and help out as I know how much of a nightmare they are !

Thanks again mate will have a look tomorrow with a mate at work. Fingers crossed he might be able to help as he builds sound system's so he should be able to find the problem. Alcazar i took both relays out and they are solid boxes and cant see any fuses.

Yeah i've found the relays they have a rubber seal around them but cant see any fuses. Had a look on here and it looks like a few people have had problems with morettes. I see you can do away with the relays and link dipped and high beam together so going to give that ago. Fingers crossed it will work! If not then im tempted to get some standard headlights.

Some tips then:
Relay: turn it over and run a thin bead of Araldite, or similar, into the join between the relay top and it's base.
Always mount relays facing AWAY from the front of the vehicle.
Connectors: ALWAYS solder, DO NOT use crimp connectors.
Use soft covers, and place some grease on the terminal before sliding the cover home, it will then exclude water.
Try to make sure connectors face downwards, so any moisture runs off.

Cheers for your help mate. Was nearly going to go back to standard's but had a real good look around and found the relays. They are well tucked away in the top of the headlight aint they!
