Default Good body Shop around the watford area.

The rust on my Rear N/S/R arch is starting to get pretty bad, it hasn't gone all the way through but it needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later. I've been to a couple of body shops and they all want silly money to repair saying they'd want to put a whole panel on it and re-spray the whole rear of the car.

Just wondered if anyone knows anywhere reasonable around the watford or even hertfordshire area? Also what sort of prices should i be looking at?

Cheers Laurence

Don't know of one personally, but if you find a good one let us know as they will get a lot of custom over the next few years.
AFAIK you cannot get repair panels for Scoobys.

I've been recommended a garage in St. Albans that I'm going to go to on Saturday so ill let you know what he says. Regarding the panels, one place said they'd put a rear quarter on it whether he was just assuming or not I don't know. But what ever i have a feeling it's going to be pretty expensive

I would be interested to hear the outcome too as my sportwagon has some tin worm on the arches too.

hey buddy,

went to see Kieran today and he said that he doesn't do rust.

But there is a guy further up on the estate who said that he can sort it for me. he said that he will strip the paint and if necessary cut out the rot and weld in some new metal.

His name is Gary but don't have a number unfortunately.

Does seem very cheap considering I was getting quotes of £700+ to cut out the rust put a plate in and then paint. Ill have to go have a chat and see what he thinks about mine.
