Default can it be done fitting 3 door rear seats to a 5 door

hi just purchased some mint 3 door sti interior the only thing is i want to fit them in my00 uk turbo. the fronts seat i know will fit its just the rears i'm not sure on the guy i got them off said they will fit but can't see how when mine split 60/40.
can anyone help as i want to fit them this weekend coming up or do i need to buy 5 door rear seats.

Rear bench will be exactly the same for fitting, don't know if you can fit the back rest though.

On a saloon, the back rest mounts by 3 hangers along the top, and 3 bolts under the rear bench.

I have non-split seats in mine.

So long as you got the support bar that runs horozontally across the rear, about half way up, the stiff plastic sheet that goes under it and the padded sheet that goes over it, just remove the split fold mechanism and bolt it all up.

Mounting points are the same.

DON'T try to do it without the support bar...........

Didn't pick up on that, I didn't know wagons had 60/40 split fold.

In that case, I don't think it can be done, sorry.

sorry keep saying its a 5 door. its a 4 door saloon owned a 5 door focus st170 for 5 years so keep calling my subaru a 5 door

it can be done but not easy as u need to strip the metal plates off your original backs and also some modding required for new backs to get it to be safe
I'd reccomend just finding an sti wagon back rest be a lot eassier

got sti new age seats in my 4 door classic, used ply to make rear support.

Metal support bars are not impossible to find

Easy peasy to make too, as its just a metal square tube.

In that case, back to my post, yes it can be done and it's easy if you have the correct bits.

cheers, for all your advice i'm off to a local breakers whos got a load of classics in so hopefully i will get the parts i need to do conversion many thanks, craig
