Default which ecu on my95?

hello,

i drive a classic gt turbo my95 with 211hp as standard (belgian car), would it be worth the money if i put a Z4 ecu in? those are the 260hp standard right? I don't care about the speed limiter....but i wan't some more torque and top end.
can it run on 98 fuel?
thanks guys, any opinions welcome....

you need the td05 turbo as well to match the z4.good cheap upgrade though as ecu go for £50-£60 and turbos for about the same.

Indeed.

Just swap to Z4 and use the highest octane available.

You should defo feel the extra grunt of 260PS vs 211PS.

Enjoy.

wont run much more than 260-270 as not mapped for the mods, espcially the headers.
i run full decat system, induction, walbro and z4 on my 93 wrx and getting just over 270bhp.fit the z4 and get afr checked on rolling road to make sure not running lean on boost and should be ok.the limiting factor on our cars are the ecu and the injectors which need to be changed to get oner 280 safely.

ok, thanks a lot, atm 260-270 is nice...

But unfortunately your tiny slanty TMIC will still limit to about 280bhp anyway (after the remap). So pointless going for bigger injectors UNTIL you upgrade the TMIC, as the std 380cc ones get to about 280 anyway - the same as the limiting-factor TMIC. You with me?

if you dont fancy a front mount the upgrade is a newage wrx one.fitted to my last classic and only cost £40 for everything.twice the size of the slanty one.

true but i have the V1 tmic, so i think i must fit a fmic in time, because the sti ones (i have one here), or the V3-V4 just don't fit properly, and atm fitting a fmic just gives me too much lag imo...so i guess i'll have to wait, and fit fmic, injectors and a remap....after a while....because after that step it's starting to get real expensive, so i've been reading and when i have about 270 i'll be smiling (at least for couple of months) :-)
