Heres one for the tech gods.
To start, the car is a wrx uk bugeye,
symptoms, irratic idle
Today we plugged the car in and it threw up the maff code so we tried another one and it was still the same, then we checked for air leaks and found none, we sprayed etha round all joints ect to see if it was sucking air and it was not .
puzzled,
we then plugged it into the laptop and saw it was running 18afr on idle witch is lean, the fuel correction was at 25% (maxed out) the lambda was giving a reading so assumed this was fine,. the maff we tried was a spare from a mate so not 100% sure its ok,
any thoughts would help,
steve.

OK if you're so clever why can't you fix it. How have you tested the lambda, & what is the switching voltage. Post your scope readings. You stated AFR 18 lean, if it's not the MAF or an air leak I'd be looking towards the lambda.
