Default Classic 98 losing power

Hi folks just got my 98 terzo home and on way down motorway she started cutting out eg about 50 mph the revs drop away with no power at all for about 5 seconds then she springs back into life and goes normal again. Then after a while she starts it again any 1 got any ideas. Thanks

clean up your MAF first and see how you get on.

Had a similar problem on my old evo and found the problem to be a faulty fuel pump.

MAF.
Fuel pump.
Lambda.
Coilpack. (and plug leads and maybe plugs).

In that order. Eliminate one, move on to the next.
