get a scooby ecu mate from major_sarcasm on here or scout around for one (might not have any left though) get a decat system, walbro(not a necessity but advised) K&N or alike panel filter & just make sure you have perfect working coil packs/plugs the chip will also allow you to run on super unleaded safely & boost to 1.1 bar. still using original injectors.
For a £100 chip its worth every penny, they were also known as Polar Performance chips which i bought for my 1st scoob that was a 93, that ended up with 317 bhp on Pro sports rollers, no idea on my current 1995 as yet as still working on it!
One thing to bare in mind is that as mentioned about 340/350 is the very limit of the td05 & slanty intercooler if the car is healthy & running well.
Also need to make sure you treat the ty752 gearbox with some respect as ive twisted & shattered a few in my old scoob, but its down to driving style for the boxes life!
current scoob has a tired ty752 box & always had a 5th gear syncro crunch, but 2 years later its still hanging in there, but i am now getting a newer ty754 box, diff & rear driveshafts so plonk on, the ty754's have a stronger case & take a little more umph.
Also note, once the chip is fitted its not mappable, thats it, what power it as, it stays with. If you want to get mappable then look at apexi power fc's about £350 2nd hand which you can do what ever you like to modify & then a good mapper will get it to work at its best but then more power will need a better turbo, better intercooler & bigger injectors etc.
another good tip is get a modified oil pump as they often play up & cause big end knock, happend to both of mine, i now have a UK STI8 semi closed deck block with a API modified oil pump to ensure the pressure/flow is ok.
