Which ECU would you use???
Hello everyone, i need some help choosing a suitable ECU for my project. I'm currently building a 69' beetle which I plan on drag racing, but will still be street-able and MOT'd. I have a 2007 GB270 2.5 Turbo WRX lump to go in, bolted to a uprated transporter bud box. All i need is the bare minimum, just enough to run the engine, anti-lag and launch control.
Info you may need:
- 2007 GB270 2.5T WRX standard ATM.
- Will be charge-cooled.
- I have a TD06 20G Turbo to go on eventually, but not uprated the engine for this upgrade yet.
Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
Here's some progress pics for inspiration

The holy grail of ecu's has to be a syvecs, but its not cheap!
Im guessing youve got all the origional subaru sensors, so in theory any stand alone subaru ecu could be wired in to work. problem you might have is i think launch control needs wheel speed sensors, plus clutch switch, etc.
Id drop the guys at syvecs an email and im sure theyll give you the ins and outs of it all.

As above Syvecs ECU is right ECU for your project.
I assume you will be running full engine loom from Subaru donor car if yes should be easy to do
About the LC,yes as above you will need wheel sensor, but this can be done too via assigned input into ECU via your supplied switch(like we are running via switch on steering wheel, when our speed sensor is not plugged into ECU and LC is enabled on all CAL),ALS can be easily done too like via switch or simply selecting map(where is enabled map with ALS) via CAL switch

cheers peeps, will contact the places youve mentioned, as for launch control, not needed anymore, the class i plan to run in does not allow these sort of aids.
Thanks again, Shaun

If you have the ecu and loom from the car the engine came from then that is mapable.
However you need the car and therefore the wiring as light as possible so a syvec s6gp and custom loom would be the ultimate route.
Looks very good btw
