My type r v5 import, has developed a proplem when on half throttle at about 5000 rpm the car starts to misfire and stinks of fireworks lol, and petrol out the exshaust and drinking fuel fast , u can floor it and the problem seems to go but go back to half throttle, and its back. Ive changed plugs, lamber sensor, ive cleaned the air mass sensor" not sure if that even would work cleaning it", im going to do leads and coil pack to rule them out. Does any one have any ideas pls thankyou

take it to someone who knows what they are doing as your just guessing m8 and everyone else will be as well

Your over fuelling, not a good thing on a version 5 sti, one or more sensors dead, you cannot clean the maf's on these, they are too fragile for that, would also suggest a speciallist as above, and dont hammer the car, if anything dont drive the car, it doesnt sound like its too happy at the moment and when they are not happy they normally eat pistons.
