Default Turbo for Forged 2.5-STI V4 heads Comp 8.5:1

I have been doing some research and want a turbo that will spoolearly , but pull up into the highrevs. This may sound od, but let’s liken it to a 16G on an importWRX. I have driven a mapped WRX uk Specwith a TD04 and don’t like how they run out of puff as the turbo goes off thecompressor map, but early spool is themost important. I am going to map withmy original 16G, and then if all is welland no niggles look at 550cc injectors and then choose a turbo.

Mine is as yours, with tubular headers and a matched Harvey Smith up-pipe, FMIC and a huge induction kit, running MAF-less with a LINK ecu.

It runs 740cc injectors and an HS TD05 20g.

It makes an easy 400/400

Billet SC42 is the one for you but you may want to fit 740cc injectors instead of 550s.

I was thinking around 370 to 380 bhp, want the car to pull hard and not run out of puff at 7K, but at the same time be as responsive as the BHP level will let.

On mine, the amount of torque available from even low revs, is incredible, driving it is easy as gearchanges aren't necessary.

If you DO want to take advantage, then it spools well from 2800 revs and yes, will go all the way to the rev-line.

Get advice on turbos, headers and up-pipes, from Harvey Smith BEFORE buying any of those things.

If you're forged then why not get a Billet MD321T or SC46 which should see you to 450 with boost coming in nice and early

I can recommend the MD321T on a 2.5. 1bar at 2800 and full boost just after 3k rpm

plus one for MDX321T, mine hit 1.1bar at 2900, duncan said they always deliver when he mapped it. Mines forged 2.5 on stock 550 injectors.

321T sounds good, I am planning a lower BHP as my block is open deck, athough it's fully forged, I would like low down grunt, maybe when i get is maped before the new turbo I will go looking for a ride in someones 2.5 before I make a choice.
Thanks for the responce !, I think I have more choices now i have gone down the 2.5 route.
