hello,

anyone with an APS CAI? has anyone had to order a replacement filter? if so what size? i believe both 65mm and 70mm versions use the same diameter and filter , I read somewhere that universal K&N unit will fit RU-3130?

can anyone confirm for definate a suitable replacement as dont want to waste money in trial and error!

Above is a K+N KRC8260E supplied by RCMS.
I also used another filter GARU-3130. This is 7.5" long cone with a 3.5" coupling.
If you have aspirations to produce much power ie. upwards of 360 bhp or thereabouts you would be as well to dispose of the APS CAK and fit the largest cone you can in the space available as you will get far more power than you can get through the filter supplied by APS and reducing the length of the inlet tract also helps. I was told by K+N Technical Department that the filter on the APS kit became restrictive, gradually, beyond 320 bhp.

cheers for the reply harvey, I have APS FMIC so induction space is a problem, the filter kit is fine and I like it but the filter has seen better days so just looking to replace it

Need to replace my APS CAI filter also.

Any ideas if it would be a good idea to use this GREEN Filter instead of the K&N?

Hi i have the 70mm aps i just got my filter k&n ru-3130 but it looks smaller than the one that was on it when i bought the aps second hand is this the correct filter cheers

There is a lot of variation in the price of K+N filters so shop around.
