Default jdm heads on uk turbo 2000

Have aquired a turbo 2000 which has a suspect cracked head and blown gasket. I have a pair of jdm heads with I'm considdering fitting. Does anyone know if the will go straigh on with no probs as I belive so. Going to get it running to use for trackdays and hacking about in hence don't want to spend much on it, anyone recommend a cheap head gasket set or advice to stay clear of any.

Cheers in advance

Murray

What year is the car and what year are the heads? If they both have their inlet manifold bolt holes in the same pattern then they are compatible, exept for AVCS heads of course.

In that case no they will not fit as the turbo 2000 has phase 2 inlet whereas the ra will have a phase 1.

^ erm he hasn't mentioned the year of the uk turbo so how do you know? If it's a uk turbo with slanty style intercooler originally fitted then yes they will fit and the profile is a lot better

Its a 97 car ill have a look at the intercool postition, as mentioned I'm only changing heads as the uk ones are cracked and have a pair of jap heads, and wonder if there will be a gain.

If it's 97 it'll have a square intercooler and coil pack in the middle. If it's got an idle control valve still bolted to the inlet manifold it's a ph1.5 inlet and your heads will bolt on fine mate!

Cheers for the advice, plan to give the heads a bit of a port, Ive lapped the valves in. I dont plan on removing much just all the castings. Hope it may help spool up. Also plan to port the headers. Any advice would be welcome cheers

dont port the inlets just the exhaust ports, more gains from porting the headers
