Cheap Ebay turbos are a

It'd be nothing like the SC billet 35R.

300-500hp. Will most probably be the lesser and will spool like a 45R

dont do it mate !! when it comes to things as important as turbochargers you need the real thing tried and tested quality , or else your end up with something far more expensive than a decent turbo !? possible engine failure !!! do it once , do it right

Billet SC46 would be a good replacement for that 16G but it will cost. Why was the SC46 removed anyways?

I did have a look at the link, it might 'look' ok but honestly, at that price, i wouldn't dare

Been lots of people on here bought cheap turbos from Ebay, usually copies of the 20G made in places like China, Some don't boost well, some don't make the power, some have fitting issues, some just fall apart.

Save your pennies and buy a decent one, will save you a whole lot of money and problems later.

the sc46 was removed presumably to sell it without my knowledge. i was conned mate. i called the garage shennan motorsport in scotland and spoke to the guy he said he took off the turbo and sports manifold and pipe and replaced it with standard and the td05 and andy forrest mapped it to between 360 370 bhp. he had the turbo on ebay at the same time he was selling car.
link to car on ebay is here take a look if you want had it since november and spent just over a grand getting it to where it is now and through mot!!!!!

They might be sold via the USA but it is where they are manufactured and by who - a lot of the cheap stuff is from china with poor build quality and materials.

Better off buying a decent turbo

Listening to Jeremy Vine on Friday, he covered the counterfeit goods malarkey. Anything can be counterfeitted in a matter of weeks, really complex stuff like Ipads and Iphones. They wont work properly but they look just like the real thing. A turbo doesn't consist of that many parts so copies could be easily knocked up. They won't be as good quality as the real thing though.
The Chinese consider imitation as form of praise. They probably think they're honoring the real thing by producing fakes. Infact somewhere in China there was a complete counterfeit Apple shop where even the employees were unaware it wasn't the real thing.
