Default lost of power! is it pos to be my speedo sensor?

Hi all.

Right i have a problem that me and my dad are stumped on.

we have just replaced the clutch and driveshaft on my subaru impreza 1.6 1995

but now i stick my foot down i just have no pwer what so ever. it just doesnt go. feels like i am driving a 1.1 :-/

it also back fires and when i get driving the engine lights come on :-/

my speedo has stopped working as well we are completley stumped we was thinking would it be the chooke stuck on but apparently i have spoke to someone and they say it electronic choke so we have no thought would it be the speedo sensor as my speedo has stopped working?

needs help ASAP!

anyone no please :-)

Beth....

clutch slipping ? wrong clutch ? try to read an error code when it throws up the check engine. i suspect its more todo with clutch, or a connector may have been undone as well, and not re plugged in. best bet is to get the code number for check light.

the car is in limp home mode as it doesn't know how fast its going , because speedo isnt working . ecu runs different fueling and ignition advance depending on how fast car is going . yours thinks its stationary

There is a clue posted above, try re-reading the answers in particular about limp home....
