Default Dastek piggyback ecu??

I'm thinking of fitting one to my 95wrx import, am I right in saying the standard ecu cannot be mapped? Are these good for the money, I would be having Andy Forrest Map it.

Mods are full blitz nur spec exhaust, s/s headers, walbro pump, doluck filter, ngk7 plugs, have 440s yet to fit

I only recently bought it ..But due to a change of circumstances i decided to sell and save up for Apexi. I havent run it on my car (project)

Was running 440's,decat,conefilter,fmic,td05 16g on previous owner's car. I am not sure how the mapping side of thing's work . . Will let some one with more knowledge to tell you. (Im Gingerscoob on scottish scoobies.net mate )

I'm sure only Dastek can map them and as it still uses the OE ECU as its piggyback so just manipulates signals to 'fool' the OE ECU, would think something like an ESL board or aftermarket standalone would be better and give greater scope for mapping options?

Work out who you want to map the car then contact the for advice. My thoughts are find a mapper then get an ECU, not buy an ECU cos its cheap then try find a mapper after that - you may not get the service you are after.

I dont think Andy will map dastek.

Really not worth going piggyback when there are other better options like simtek, apexi, esl etc

Comes complete with the Ecu that it was mapped to as well..Listed on ebay
