1.5 hrs to do wheel bearing....Bollocks!
Where to start
im in the process of changing n/s/f wheelbearing, initially this should have been easy
the ball joint pinch bolt has sheared at the head. Is it threaded on both sides of the pinch ?
Can i remove it by removing the bolt at the bottom of balljoint ( the one through the lower arm ).
Can not get the driveshaft to split from hub
Have tried all sorts , it looks like im going to have to remove the shaft from diff and press out????
Any suggestions as im getting soaked and fustrated

When I replaced my ball joints for the roll centre correction ones[whiteline] I had a similar problem with seized everything lol,the one side I removed the lower arm with ball joint still attached as it wouldn't release without pressing,if you need to do that then just get a chisel and knock it into the hub where the ball joint sits to widen the gap and allow the joint to come with ease[obviously after the pinch bolt is out lol].
Driveshaft wise it's quite common to need to press the shaft out of the hub but if you get a punch that fits the very centre where there's a indent it will sit in there and not damage the thread when giving it some obey joyful

no just one side, however there is groove in ball joint top cup that bolt sits in. bolt will need drilling out before trying to widen hub with chisel. hub is surprisingly easy to break, been there done that.
id forget about it and get second hand hub with good bearing from cleaner import. plenty of copper grease on reasembly will make it easier next time.
