Default Hawkeye Spec c service

Im looking to change the rear diff oil on my hawkeye spec c, im finding different answers on the LSD depending where i look.

Would either Silkolene Silktran Syn 5 75W-90 or Silkolene Boa 90ls be fine?

Also does the Cosworth panel filter require replacing or cleaning? and how often? Its 10k old at the moment.

Where is the best place to buy a timing belt kit? Im assuming spec C and UK STI are the same?

Thanks in advance

Mike.

If you have a mechanical rear diff on that - and I am pretty sure you do, make sure you use an LS oil and do not use Silkolene Silktran Syn 5 75W-90.
Look in your user manual, but don't use the guide on Opie oils as it is not authoritative on this matter.

Mechanical front/rear diff and your panel filter is a service item, replace at 20k

If you are unsure, go for the BOA 90LS (nowTitan Race Gear 90LS). It's fine for pretty much all diffs.

Cheers

Thanks for all the help

Ive decided to go for crx 75w90 fully synthetic gear oil for the front diff/gear box as ive still got some from my evo.

As for the rear diff oil im still undecided, would i be right in thinking any 75-90 oil with LS in the title would be fine?

Looks like im going to order either Motul gear 300LS 75W-90 or the Silkolene BOA 90LS.

I ended up ordering Fuchs Titan Race Gear 90 LS which worked fine.
Before that I used Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75w-90 which made my rear diff feel like it was going to rip itself to pieces. I don't think any permanent damage was done, but it is hard to know for sure.
The Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75w-90 seems fine in the front though.

Thanks for the info i'll be staying clear of the Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75w-90 which is Silkolene Silktran Syn 5 75W-90 under another name
