I personally have a TD05 18g 7cm by Forced Performance and I'm quite happy with it. Depending on what 16g you have it may or may not be a noticeable upgrade. As far as I know, the Evo3 16G is just a tad bit smaller than the 18g so it will spool up just a tad bit faster but make a tad bit less hp. If coming from a regular 16g then I guess the 18g will make for a good upgrade.

I ran a TD05 16G on my bug WRX and then ran a Deadbolt 18G from Andy Forrest. The 16G worked really well with the WRX, cracking performance, suited the gears well and I never thought it was going to break the car or kill me as I'm not the best driver in the world LOL
The 18G is just a tad laggier but the best description is it's more brutal......it broke two 5 speed gearboxes (now on a 6 speed) and if I lost a biit of concentration on passing totty it put enough power through the wheels to unsettle the ride.....
In a way I miss my 16G LOL
I think the 18G is a good turbo for a newage UK STi as I guess you can bolt it on, keep all the ancillaries (injectors, TMIC etc) and run it at 370 ish BHP
Does this help? what are you putting it in ?

I don't know how much more torque the 18g will give over the standard 16g, but I can tell you that you will get more power out of the 18g for sure. For my setup I would achieve peak psi in about 4krpm. Granted, I have a front mount intercooler and an external wastegate setup. Also, I have an 04 US spec EJ205, which is inferior to the EJ207 in many ways.
