Exclamation VF28 - W/G's SPRING RATING...???

As title, does anyone know - for sure - what the VF28's OEM w/g actutor spring's cracking pressure is?

I'm guessing something like c.10psi (0.7bar), no?

Should be 0.5bar.

I've read that Subaru OEM w/g springs can be anything between 0.5 and 0.7bar (on Cobb Tuning's website) - hence the question.

But 0.5bar for the VF28's w/g is fair enough then lol (unless anyone knows otherwise)...

You can easily test it by hooking up a boost gauge & blocking off a few pipes. I have forgotten the procedure but surely someone else will know.

If you connect a pipe from the compressor nipple to the actuator nipple that should determine what pressure the actuator is running. Stand to be corrected, i think there is more to it aswell like plumbing off a few pipes etc.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, sure - am aware of that.

Or connect a footpump to the w/g nipple.

Ami, that's what I 'assumed'.

Either way, no worries. Just inquisitive.
