Default Boost cut!?

My classic JDM STI wagon has always had a problem where I get boost cut when it's a cool day or raining but when it's warm it runs spot on.
I also have an apexi commander and when it cuts it says the injector duty is 100%
Anybody got an idea what the cause is?
Cheers,Andy

Running to much boost? Do you have a boost gauge to see whats happening with it?

Its running 1.4bar but the boost cut comes in below 1bar,it's definately temperature related.

That sounds like the fuel cut. It's basically protecting your engine from damage. 100% injector duty isn't advisable, it's close to compromising your air/fuel ratio. It sounds like your car needs remapping.

My car does the same. Iv taken it back to get the mapping checked but no problems found, it wasnt raining tho so it was running fine on the day.
Iv put it down to me having a mini scoop with a k&n underneath sucking in water when it rains and playing with the MAFS. Iv got some 22b vents in the paint shop so i will fit them soon and plank the hole and i hope it will fix my prob. Do you have a cone filter or airbox?

It was mapped by JGM before I bought it and it did it,and I had it tweaked again by JGM and it still does it so I don't think the map has anything to do with it as simon said it was running spot on

It has an apexi cone filter in custom surround,it's nothing to do with the rain as I does it if it's cool and not raining too

The apexi boost cuts 0.2bar higher than the target boost.
Doesnt sound like it is getting that high?

Is it possibly blowing the spark out, has the plugs been changed?

No it never goes above the target boost simon, and it doesnt do it around the target either it's usually around 1bar or less.
Like I've put.....sunny day no problems, cold or rainy and it cuts power and injector duty goes to 100% exactly, not 98 or 101!?
I should have mentioned it when you mapped it simon but I thought it had sorted it out when you tweaked it..now it's getting cool again it's started doing it

If its fine at 1.4bar but cuts occasionally at 1bar I doubt it is plugs.

Injectors hit 100% at this time, water through maf? Does it have a scoop above air filter?

Simon
