Default Fuel pump cradle

Right guys, iv'e removed my cradle from the car as i want to send it to Alyn at AS performance to have a bosch fitted.

My query is does it look abnormaly corroded to you as i don't recall seeing one this bad?

I just changed mine yesterday and it was like new, on a version 5 type r.

Im starting to think it might be because the car has sat still for a couple of years.

Anyone shed any light on why it's so corroded?

thats bad - shud be a bronze/brass colour -yours looks like it has been near water !!!

Im thinking some moisture might have got in the tank so i will drain it.

Here is a couple of pics i took of the tank through both inspection holes.

I wouldn't say there is abnormal amounts of rust in there but i would welcome other opinions.
