Default Manifold spacers

Im just changing my inlet manifold and was woundering if its worth fitting ptfe spacers to it while its off??
Its on a version I Wrx,
i have no intention of fitting a large front entry but was thinking of heat soak,

Whats your thoughts?

I would as it wouldn't take any extra work and its a nice mod too!!

Rcm don't use them on there big power cars

Well I've got them on my Spec C, and even after prolonged use I can still put my hand on the inlet manifold without getting third degree burns.

They must be of benefit as a lot of the heat that would normally been transmitted into the manifold from the engine block is not there, to a small degree this means that the manifold is not reheating the air after it's been through your intercooler.

This was my thought and would help keep it cooler.

Your air isn't in the inlet long enough to transfer heat.

Worth doing but remember you will need longer bolts!
