Manifold spacers

Im just changing my inlet manifold and was woundering if its worth fitting ptfe spacers to it while its off??
Its on a version I Wrx,
i have no intention of fitting a large front entry but was thinking of heat soak,

Whats your thoughts?

I would as it wouldn't take any extra work and its a nice mod too!!

Rcm don't use them on there big power cars

Well I've got them on my Spec C, and even after prolonged use I can still put my hand on the inlet manifold without getting third degree burns. :)

They must be of benefit as a lot of the heat that would normally been transmitted into the manifold from the engine block is not there, to a small degree this means that the manifold is not reheating the air after it's been through your intercooler. :wonder:

This was my thought and would help keep it cooler.

Your air isn't in the inlet long enough to transfer heat.

Worth doing but remember you will need longer bolts!
