Get them out. They are pre gapped to some thing like 1.6mm and are not adjustable.
You need NGK PFR6B's gapped to 0.65mm.

Ignore the CTS and any other sensor until you have swapped and correctly gapped the plugs.

It will certainly help mate.

Can you show me where these are recommended for a Classic??

Do a search on here and on google,
Impreza+bosch 4's=
Impreza+ngk=

The Impreza requires a gap of 0.6-0.7mm. The bosch are over double that, bound to cause starting problems.

The words cheap and Impreza do not bode well together. That goes for parts to.

Gapped correctly, yes hopefully.

It is the obvious fault atm with hard cold start. If you fit the NGK's and the problem persists then you have at least ruled out the plugs and can move on.
If you do not change the plugs then you could find your self going round in very expensive circles.

Found this: Impreza WRX Turbo 94-98 2.0L EJ20G
FR56-4PK or FR6DP1
gap= 0.8mm

Not sure which FR you fitted. Was it either of the above??
