Default pressurised fuel tank

Everytime take my fuel cap off to fuel up, there is always lot of pressure released when unscrew cap.

Is this normal?
My53 wrx sti

Don't know about newage mate but my classic always has a bit of pressure when cap is released,if it is alot then it could be the vent to air is blocked.

yeh my classic i had before the new age always used do it too,

the last 2 subarus ive had always made a whoosh noise when i filled up, i assume thats normal on these cars, guessed it was from going full tank to not much in it ( both were hawkeyes ) .Just sounds like a trait

They are not meant to have any pressure in the system,if they have the carbon cansiter system in full use, YET,mine is the same,go figure.

the carbon cansiter/purge control system is meant to illuminate this issue,but alas,it doesnt seem too.

tbh i dont mind it, find it quite stress relieveing when it goes phoosh ! lol daft i know but then again iam about to stick £60 in the tank

Its the same noise as I make when paying for the fuel I just put in really
