thats no problem can use my injectors, what about the heads?will i have to use my inlet manifold?have sourced a 2002 complete engine as well but its slightly more expensive so need to work out which will be most cost effective.

i think from memory that the inlet manifold holes line up although you may have to change the water crossover pipe as well, the worst of it is the toothed crank pulley will need changing as the trigger points are not the same, so with all the extra work to change these over i would go for the 2002 engine which is complete.

ok so i need to use my inlet manifold, have only just done the cam belt and pulleys so i need to reuse them as well, think its easier to just buy the 02 engine, its only £50 more expensive when i include the delivery charge.

There are mob selling engines, used to be called SMR Engines but have also been known as Mr Engine and Jap car parts (or similar) which sell off knackered engines just with a coat of silver paint.
Have a google for SMR Engines ..............

this guy seems genuine, checked his feedback and he has sold other parts from the same car, good feedback so no reason to think otherwise.i know its always a risk but when you are on a very tight budget you have to explore all options.cant believe how many people are suffering bottom end failures, its an epidemic, time to bite the bullet and get the monaro.

all we are saying is don't get stung, i bought my engine used in 2005 and its still going strong but i had a guarantee and would have got my money back if there were any problems, not everyone have been so lucky.
