Default Knocking noise from front

I got a classic Sti impreza. There's a knocking noise coming from the front only when I accelerate or decelerate or hit bumps If I press the pedal slowly it doesn't do it. I've changed strut tops and the shocks seem ok

The engine is fine. It's a bush or a mount somewhere but can't pin point it. Was hoping someone had the same prob.

Why do majority of members relate knocking noises from Subarus as being bottom end gone.I am on my fifth Impreza and never had a problem with bottom end letting go.
Could be they are running to much power with bog standard internals.

Have a look at your main crank pulley. They have rubber shock absorbers built in, those can go and the pulley can then move.
