hii people heres the story......
got a 1994 impreza japan import wrx .
took original engine out about 5 months ago and put another engine in her which was fine for 3 months until it developed a bottom end knock
put the original engine back in the car turned it over and now it wont start at all just turns over stinking of fuel.
so far spent 3 days on it retracing steps to make sure i connected everything took apart and reconnected everything tested power to ecu sensors GND to ecu and sensors and injectors, checked all fuses , all wires to coil packs have 12v to them, fuel pump kicking in etc.
everything worked fine until i put the original back in which had nothing wrong with it when i took it out.
have noticed when cranking the little exhaust? light and the check engine light, goes out when cranking but every few seconds they will both flicker on for a split second.
really dont know what to do now as no auto elec knows what there doing and wont touch it coz its a jdm
