Default vf30 on a classic ?

Hi guys not been here for a while but now iv got the bug to increase my power from a t reg uk turbo 2000 and am pondering about a bigger turbo , thought about about a td05 but have opted to go for a second hand IHI vf series and so far iv narrowed it down to a vf24 or a vf30, so my question is will the vf30 fit directly without too much hassle?

nice one, were you happy with the results and many bhp did you get?

yeah supporting mods i have are turbo back decat 3" pipe, k and N filter, walbro pump, 440 cc injectors are standard, thinking about the fpr, taking it for remapping after iv fitted the upgraded turbo.

you dont need a fpr, i have:

RCM induction kit, RCM Headers, RCM 3" de-cat downpipe, Walbro Fuel pump, 5zigen exhaust, prodrive 3 port boost solenoid, RCM super lightweight flywheel, exedy stage 1 organic clutch.... and a few other goodies

you'll probably find that you're clutch will slip during mapping if you get around the 300bhp mark, which is what happened too me. so i had too have a new uprated clutch fitted to finish of the mapping....

best bet is to speak too the mapper and ask for their advice...

three options for mapping well lane turbo £430, RS tuning - unknown , and Remap science -special offer £150.

would you say £200 would be a fair price for a vf30 ? good condition inc gasket set

to be honest sounds too good to be true...

i bought a VF30 off ebay i won it £179. it got delivered and had a huge crack around the wastegate (common problem with VF turbo)

i sent it back, and ended up buying a perfect VF34 with only 500 miles and uprated owens development actuator. (£1250 new)

best bet is to buy a turbo from someone local so you can inspect it before you part with your cash.

Bob Rawle for mapping is what i was recommended, and i would certainly reccomend him!
