Default engine problems

anyone got any ideas really doin my head in now

ive got a classic 1999 v reg uk 2000 turbo and when idle drop revs and cuts out and also when turbo kicks in at 3000 rpm runs really really jerky ive had the boost control valve done and still the same any ideas would be of great help

p.s. its completely standard except for a aftermarket BOV dont which it is as was on the car when i bought it

i would first take off the bov. plenty of stories on here of them causing running problems.

i might sound stupid here but do i need to put an original one back on or can i try it without one at all

Get the bov off mate, not worth the trouble they cause, sounds like a maf problem, my my00 went the same with dodgy maf very common on that year, but try the bov first tho.

Yeh would need to bolt the original one back onto the intercooler ebay will have them cheap.
