Default 96 WRX STI misfire please help!!

Scooby still the same!! this is a 96 registerd 99 so there is my first problem. Plugs changed coil packs changed, still no difference. Had an MAF sensor failure but was a broken wire sorted that out. now there are no more fault codes BUT the problem still persist. when cold and you start up and drive it its runs ok but as soon as it gets to operating tempreture the misfire starts! It misfires between between 3500rpm and 4800rpm. I need help guys!!!

Just going through a similar problem with my 94 sti. Just checked ecu and hasncome up with maf sensor and crank posistion sensor. Mines fine on tick over and cold but after a 15 to 20 minute drive it starts playing up. Doesnt really missfire but bogs down like its trying to cut out and engine light only comes on occasionally!

Does your engine light come on and have you checked ecu for error codes?

What plugs are you using and to what gap are they set?
