Default TMIC

Hi,

Is there an advantage of changing a WRX's TMIC for an STI one? What's the difference?

I've got a '97 WRX buy the way.

The reason I ask, is because there is one sitting in my local breakers, the same year as mine. V3,4 i think, just though if I could get it cheap, would it be worth it?

There is an article somewhere done by a Oz magazine/website testing the flowrate and intake tempretures of different TMIC. Basically the V3-4 WRX and STi are the same.

found it!!! http://autospeed.com.au/cms/printArticle.html?&A=1618

But if you can get the Y pipe it would be useful

Hmmm. Very interesting article, Looks like it would be a benefit getting the Y pipe. I'm gonna go down the breakers this weekend and see if it's got it.
Great bit of research! Thanks again guys.
