Default help/advice with insurance claim, please?

What's the going rate for a P reg Impreza, (2L turbo 4X saloon)? Mine was written off, when I was hit from behind on the Motorway. It was well looked after, had a new clutch recently, for instance. The insurers have offerred me £1200. Can anyone point me in the direction of ads for models of an age similar to mine, but at a higher price?

my advice tell your insurance company to look in autotrader+pistonheads and buy you one for that money . they will come back with a more sensible offer

was it uk spec or import, the trouble is it's never what it is worth to you but as to the going rate, honestly i would that sounds about right for uk or wrx, you can pick them up for as little as that now, infact a friend paid just £400 for a uk turbo 2000 with a slight knock amazing eh!!, places to look are pistonheads, auto trader and of course the bay of E

Good advice, guys. I looked on autotrader, totalimpreza.co.uk and pistonheads, found 3 examples of '97 P reg Scoobys about £3,000. Also sent a receipt for a new clutch I had fitted, recently, to show my insurers that I had maintained the car well. Hope it has some impression?

Thanks

Peter.
