Hi, i've been looking at getting a sports-car down pipe for my JDM STI is there a down side to fitting these's and how do i know if i have a twin scroll??

What year is your car? you will need a remap for sure if you do fit it, obviously more money.

 

She's a 2001 bugeye,, will do a remap when fitted its a cobrasport cat these any good?

 

Hi matey you are sure,you have Twin scroll?
2001 STi have VF35(STi-RA V7 have VF34,which is ball bearing turbo) which is single scroll turbo,and its normal or standard turbo.

I dont know just had a reply from cobrasport about a sports-cat down pipe asking me if it a twin scroll with it being a JDM and to be honest i would ent know if it was or not,, think i need to know more about the car im driving lol....

 

Hi there you have single scroll,no twin scroll turbo.You don't need twin scroll sport cat,you are need standard sport cat.
Twin scroll has been used on later models Blobeye and Hawkeye JDM STi and Spec C.

There were rumours of the first STI type UK's running the VF30 but most had a vf35, how true it was.... dunno, but there were 2 types of PPP done for the MY02 STI type UK's......!
