Right guys need some help here as i keep getting mixed answers need to get to the bottom of it.
The cars a 1998 sti import, mods full 3" exhaust and de-cat, uprated panel filter.
Ok im not really bothered about having more power as im happy with what i have, but i want to make sure the fueling etc is right i want to put a walbro fuel pump on it also. what can i do to ensure its running right with regards to the fueling and stuff, and what else can i do to it without spending a ****eload of cash.
Just want it running right and for it not to go bang. Can the standard ecu be mapped?
Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated as im fairly new to scoobs. love em though.

The standard ECU cant be mapped. Ive got almost the same mods on my 97 STI, to be on the safe side it having a simtek ECU. Ive already had to have my engine rebuilt, and it aint cheap! So £1000 for an ECU and map is much easier on the pocket than the £4k it cost me to have the engine rebuilt
If your not too fussed about price then the simtek or if your on a budget then search ebay for a used Apexi.
There is a few extras with the simtek, like launch control, anti-lag, switchable maps & MAF less
See http://www.simtekecu.co.uk/ for more info
