Default apexi advice

hi all,
ive got a 97 wagon with a sti ver5 engine with td05 turbo,
full stainless exhaust,
tubular manifold,
uprated fuel pump and regulator,
fmic,
baileys dump valve,
hks mushroom,
tdo5 (cant tell which one)turbo(anyone now how to tell whilst on car)
light weight flywheel
im running an apexi power fc ecu,
the engine management light comes on on at about 6500-7000 rpm,
this i believe is detanation,
not good,
on the power commander theres 4 boost settings,
mine are .80-.90-1.00-1.20,
it should be able to run the 1.20bar boost without a problem,
any help and advice would be most appreciated

Im guessing your car has been remapped with all the mods on and as its an apexi im assuming your still running a maff sensor so combined with the baileys dv i think they all do it. it will be as much the noise through the maff as det. have you got the knock sensor monitor programmed on the commander

Are you sure it was mapped after upgrades?
Usually the knock level will be set to flash the cel light around 45/50 so if your's is the same then it needs looking at asap or you will be doing damage imho.

well if i am guessing right which i could be or could be miles off im guessing the dv is causing the problem if so you will get the same affect if you try to cruise around 90 thn dont flat foot it but accelerate to over 100 slowly obviously do not do this on a public road

Senility creeping in Ryan. I'll put it down to your age this time.

Or perhaps it's too much time with Mr I.
