Default power steering relocation

hi all been searching all night trying to find a way to move my power steering resevoir. seen a few examples and some info from harvey but the thread was old and the pics have been removed so it makes it hard to understand whats trying to be said.
From what ive found there is a part from a 2003 uk 1.6 subaru and it fits on the top of the pump and all i need is a new resevior and pipe work. im still not sure about this and wondered if i can just fit a new age pump and remote resevoir as it sounds a lot easyer.
can anyone help.

There is an off the shelf part from Subaru, its for the newage but fits classic pumps too.

Then all you need is any PS resevoir, I used one off a Jag XJ40. You need special PS hose though, normal rubber hose will sweat out the fluid. I sourced mine through Pirtek.

Power steering adapter - Part number 34431FE010

Try that with Subaru, it should be the one

Expensive but everything you need, I picked up a power steering relocation kit from a newage for £120.

That is pricey but the adaptor in the RCM kit is the one from Subaru, it has the bracket so that you can still fit the belt cover

Shed motorsport version is cheaper as long as you don't mind function over form

Adaptor (free off a mate, still owe him a burger) or £20 from Subaru
Resevoir - any will do as long as it has an inlet and outlet - £10 Ebay
Hydraulic hose - £15 from Pirtek
Resevoir bracket - home made from some ali I had lying around

On the early classics you move it so you can run a front entry turbo and run the inlet pipework under the manifold - with the later classic you do it to run a bigger inlet pipe, space is very tight with the resevoir on the pump.

And on early classics, the standard tank can leak, dripping power steering fluid into the top of the engine and then down onto the up pipe. doing this mod will stop that, and make it into a nice new plastic bottle

You dont have to change anything to run the power steering relocation on an early classic... all your doing is taking the res off the top of the power steering pump and re-locating it somewhere else.

Or are you asking to see where the standard res is on a early classic?
