Default engine bearings

Hello all, im slowly getting the parts together to rebuild a ej257, just a quick question, acl make race/co
mpetion bearings and also duraglide bearings. What set would be best to go for? Many thanks

im running acl race in mine and have nothing bad to report about them, acl duraglide are also very good as well but for some reason i just prefer the race ones??? i think it all depends on how much power you intend to run, i can guarantee someone on here knows more about acl bearings than i do so no doubt they can enlighten you further

Race were specced for my 2.5 litre rebuild.

The ACL race one's are the duraglide mate,its the competition one's that are the best but are over kill for anything under 500bhp.

Ok thanks for that. Aiming for around 400, prices are similar, so is it worth going for the competions or duraglides? Due to possible future upgrades? Cheers guys!

I'd go with duraglide mate as it's one thing to get 400 but 500+ is a hole different world and you'd need some deep pockets lol.
