Standard boost is 0.8bar but they can be mapped.
You can run up to 1bar before fuel cut kicks it.

It is safe. I am running one of these on mine V2 STI with no issues. It is IMHO the best option if you can afford ESL, Simtek ect. at the moment. Find that thread about these Chip's and read or contact Major Sarcasm, he will explain you everything.

The car is a bit of an experiment put together whilst his 6speed RA was off the road for an engine rebuild.
Mods on this car are, FMIC, 380cc injectors, TD05 converted to FE, parallel fuel lines, pipercross IK, in tank walbro feeding a swirl pot and an external walbro feeding the rails, single coil conversion and as i said all controlled by one of scott's chips. It does need a FCD to stop it cutting at 1.2bar but it does hold 1,3bar with out spiking any higher.
Before anyone says it will blow up....the car has done 3 hard trackdays this year in its current spec and the only issue we had was hitting fuel cut (now sorted with FCD) and it destroyed a clutch.
