Default advice for new owner please!

Hi guys,

Recently bought myself 2006 2.5 wrx and love it. Ive just had a turbosmart bov and a tsl group n back box fitted. (not to everyones taste i know). Would you suggest a remap with these fitted or are they not big enough changes to need it?

Thanks in advance, Kingsley

Welcome to scoobies mate .
Personally i wouldn't bother getting a remap given the mods you have listed.
The bov will not affect anything (But doesnt do your car any favours, but down to personal choice lol).

Since you have not removed the cats or replaced the air filter etc the car should run as normal and i would only remap after doing any of the above mentioned.

All teh best with your new toy

Welcome to Snet.

I'm not to up on the new age motors, but would think the VTA BOV will effect the AFR's the same as a Classic. ie It releases metered air to the atmosphere therefor meaning you will be running slightly rich.

Take the chav whistle off, unless you want to start creating problems for yourself..

Its upto you, but this is my advice...

BOV and non syd back box were on my 01 WRX when I bought it - ran fine.

Got it mapped after removing the 3 std cats and fitting a sports car dp to replace them!

You'll be fine as you are.

Took off the BOV on mine by the way.
