I have recently fitted the delete. I could not find the pipe either.

In the end i built my own. Cost around £45.

You don't have to fit the filter.

It just works out a very expensive delete pipe.

ive an hks filter on mine and if i pop the bonnet after a thrash it is stone cold! seems to catch heaps of air coming through gap in bonnet.
Only time it's warm is when parked up and fan blows on it

It was something like £40 from someone one here.

what do you mean? on the replacement element on it it has a higher micron rating thingy than k & n? im sure-ish

When i check the Maf etc it is always squeaky clean. Could I be letting crap into my engine? Hope not as I had a bottom end re-build in April past.

Good god im getting paranoid now, should i go for the RCM big boy?

I mean what I said. IIRC, they aren't actually that good at filtering. I wouldn't use one, and I don't know of anywhere that would recommend using one.

RCM used a K&N filter on the Gobstopper...............

Post #2 is your best bet. I got very lucky and found a second hand one forsale on here. The apexi wont create the correct angle if you plan on keeping the standard airbox

It does give some extra induction noise. Also allows a less resticted flow of air, which 'in theory' should be colder/denser. I've not had chance to log it yet, but from what i have read and been advised, it should be ok.

I mainly did it for
aesthetics.

Better sound, as the resonator is in place to decrease induction noise. A straighter less interupted path for the air to flow through.

Its not gonna add an instant 10bhp or anything, but will maximize any potential gain with upgrades to the intake system.

if you can find or make one then definately do it, if only to maximize any future mods.
