Strong smell of PETROL
Hi all, I really need some help and advice.
I currently have a 2001 bugeye WRX totally stock. Since yesterday afternoon (sunday 24/10) I have started to get a very very stong smell of petrol in my cabin at both idol and low revs so when in traffic.
I have been told it could ba my fuel filter but i dont know how true this is as it is not effecting my fuel consumption or performance.
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks MACCAWRX

This is a pain in the **** job, the fuel rails start to leak at the hard to rubber pipe connections due to expansion/contraction and hardening when cold.
Subaru know this, there is a technical bulletin from Subaru Japan about this, I believe in some countries it was a recall fault (not UK). The fix is basically to replace the rubber hoses, or upgrade to a blob fuel rail setup or just go parallel.
